Prof Mariza Vorster
Prof Mariza Vorster is an associate Professor & Head of Clinical Unit at the University of Pretoria's department of Nuclear Medicine. She is also the current President of the Colleges of Nuclear Physicians for the Colleges of Medicine South Africa (CMSA). She obtained her PhD in 2014 on the use of 68Ga-citrate PET in indeterminate lung lesions, is an NRF-rated scientist who has authored and co-authored over 90 peer-reviewed publications and is currently involved in research involving novel tracers (especially Ga-68-based) and theranostics. She has also collaborated with the IAEA on several research projects, workshops and publications.
