Acute Gynaecological Imaging - Dr Joanna McNeil 11 Mar 2022

Joanna was unable to attend the BIR's 'Acute and emergency imaging education day' but we are pleased to present her remotely recorded talk!

This one-day education event covered various aspects of acute and emergency imaging and intervention, including stroke, head and neck, cardiovascular, vascular, GI, GU, gynaecology and traumatic presentations, highlighting learning points and potential pitfalls.

The event was aimed at both Consultant Radiologists and trainees, although it would also be of interest to other medical professionals and allied health professionals such as radiographers.

Educational aims:

  • To keep updated on the current and changing practices in diagnostic acute and emergency imaging
  • To provide an overview of the utility of acute and emergency image guided intervention
  • To establish and consolidate a systematic approach to trauma reporting and gain confidence in abilities to pick up subtle injuries
