The BIR/DMCI "Hands-On" training series: MRI of the knee

14th March 2017  8:00 - 17:00 (GMT+01:00) Europe/London

This “Hands-On” event is designed to familiarise delegates with a range of orthopaedic and rheumatological knee disorders, guided by experts in the field.

Educational aims:

  • To understand the normal MRI anatomy of the knee including normal variants and age specific appearances.
  • To develop a systematic checklist for assessing and reporting knee MRI.
  • To become familiar with a wide variety of common and interesting orthopaedic and rheumatological pathology in the knee as well as pitfalls in interpretation.

In each session, the delegates will be asked to review a series of cases. This will be followed by an interpretation session with the experts, during which there will be dedicated time for delegates to pose questions and to interact with the experts.

The number of places will be limited so that delegates can experience a more personalised, interactive method of teaching. Early booking is therefore strongly advised.

The course will be run using iMacs to provide the best interactive experience for every delegate.

Delegate feedback from past “Hands-On” courses:
Excellent course. Large volume of interesting cases all with good learning points.

Tremendous learning experience.

Excellent course, excellent Speakers and very informative and interactive sessions, I am not a radiologist but I believe that all surgeons in the HPB/Liver field will find this course very useful and I would recommend this course to them. Excellent way of teaching and discussion of cases.

Fantastic course, the first of its kind- as everyone knows a standard haemangioma, but it’s the variations that are important. Hands on training fantastic - only thing is that you may wish to spread over 2 days.

Excellent event, I learned a lot and would thoroughly recommend it to others.
