This event will cover important and difficult aspects of GI and HPB radiology. The morning session will focus on imaging of acutely unwell patients, covering difficult cases of bowel obstruction, GI bleeding and trauma, bowel ischaemia, imaging the post-operative abdomen and luminal/hepatobiliary intervention. The afternoon session will focus on the outpatient setting, covering MRI of focal liver lesions and diffuse liver diseases, tips and tricks for staging HPB malignancies, anal fistula MRI, pitfalls in CT colonography, and a debate on MRI vs ultrasound for small bowel imaging.

By the end of this day delegates will have increased confidence in dealing with these difficult GI issues in clinical practice.

  • Increase knowledge and understanding of difficult GI and HPB cases in the outpatient setting
