Interventional radiology nurses’ study day

This event is suitable for nurses who currently work or who are interested to work in interventional radiology and interventional cardiology, and for student nurses who may wish to explore future options. The programme will provide a broad understanding on imaging modality, radiation protection, safe sedation, clinical guidelines and overall governance in imaging related interventions. There will be focused lectures and discussion on specific specialty including vascular, cardiology, hepatobiliary, urology, cerebral, venous access and nuclear medicine. Roles and responsibilities as well as general and specialist procedures will be highlighted.

  • To understand interventional radiology safety and governance
  • To understand imaging related interventions from nursing perspective
