The BIR Gynaecology imaging update

This event will help bring radiologists up to date with modern imaging techniques in gynae cancer imaging. In particular the topics will move beyond simple staging and will deal more with functional imaging techniques and how they can provide prognostic information and allow assessment of disease response.

Who should attend: Both DGH radiologists who report gynae as a subspecialist interest and teaching hospital radiologists as well as trainees. Radiographers performing Gynae MRI will also find this helpful.

Educational aims:

  • To learn how to review and report CT and MRI in ovarian cancer staging
  • To excplore the role of FDG PET CT in common gynaecological cancers
  • To understand the characterisation of adnexal masses using the ESUR Guideline update
  • To learn about MRI imaging in endometriosis using ESUR Guideline update
  • To gain knowledge on MRI imaging placental disorders
