Forensic radiology organised by the BIR Welsh branch

Join us this Autumn at the BIR Welsh Branch evening event for an insight into forensic radiology.

The evening will inform on the scope of practice, the indications and uses of post-mortem radiology including when it is considered an advantage over traditional post-mortem examination, for example in children and religious groups.

Normal CT appearances in deceased patients will be explained, as well as those appearances that indicate genuine pathology and potentially cause of death.

Educational aims:

To understand the evolving role radiology in post-mortem examinations
To gain knowledge of normal imaging findings after death
To identify genuine pathology, i.e. post-mortem and antemortem findings in post-mortem radiology
