X-MAS 21 Nov 2014

If seeing is believing then Hugh Turvey, artist in residence at the British Institute of Radiology, helps us suspend our disbelief. He is fascinated by what is hidden and, in focusing on the spaces in between, his Xograms make the everyday appear uncommon, debunking the myth that beauty is only skin deep. In this video he introduces us to a vision of transparency in a ‘smoke and mirrors’ world of spin and media manipulation. There will be imagery from his recent London exhibition "EXPOSÉ, Material and Surface" and from the on-going University College Hospital multi-sensory project designed to further the discussion about the positive impact of the arts in healthcare settings.
