Dr Owen Arthurs
Dr Owen Arthurs is the clinical lead for paediatric and perinatal post mortem imaging at Great Ormond Street Hospital in London, funded by an NIHR Clinician Scientist Fellowship. He trained in paediatrics and academic Radiology in Cambridge and London. His main interests are in PM imaging and non-accidental injury in children. He has co-authored over 75 peer reviewed papers, review articles and book chapters, 100 conference abstracts, 30 invited lectures, and won several awards in national / international competition. He currently chairs the Post mortem Imaging Taskforce of the European Society of Paediatric Radiology and the Paediatric Working Group of the International Society of Forensic Radiology & Imaging. He has been involved with the BIR for several years, sitting on the MRI SIG management committee and BIR Annual Meeting organising committees, and recently ran the successful BIR “Update on NAI” day. He is the 2016 RCR Roentgen Professor.
