Image-guided MSK intervention 02 Nov 2017

This presentation gives a brief resume of the role for image guided intervention in the musculoskeletal system. The indications are reviewed, in particular with regard to sports imaging/overuse syndromes and oncology.

The most appropriate imaging modality for each indication are reviewed, in addition to a short description of possible intervention techniques.The most common conditions encountered in routine clinical practice are the main focus of the presentation, with a brief discussion of the more esoteric entities.

Naomi Winn

Dr Naomi Winn Consultant Radiologist, Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Otheropaedic Hospital NHS Foundation Trust Dr Winn trained in radiology at the Northern Deanery of the UK. She then spent one year undertaking a Fellowship in Musculoskeletal Radiology in Edmonton, Canada. Her current interests are all aspects of MSK radiology, in particular image guided intervention, bone and soft tissue tumour imaging.
